Welcome to The Duke of York Inn

The Duke of York, Shelf, is a 17th century former coaching inn, situated on the A644 in a hamlet known as Stone Chair, in the village of Shelf, between Halifax and Bradford.

The characterful Inn is adorned with a wealth of Oak beams, and offers both formal and informal dining in the bar area or the separate dining area. Within the Bar we have a range of cask conditioned ales available together with an interesting selection of wines & liqueurs.

A full lunch and evening meal menu is available 6 days a week and a traditional home cooked roast on a Sunday.

The Duke of York also offers accommodation in 4 en-suite rooms.

The pub is disabled access friendly and has ample free off-road parking.
